WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) -- U.S. Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona has announced he will not seek re-election in 2018, condemning President Trump and the direction of the Republican Party.
Flake admitted in his speech on the Senate floor on Tuesday that he would have trouble winning a Republican primary in Arizona because of his frequent criticism of Trump's tone, tweets, and general way of conducting himself.
Another Trump critic, Republican Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee, has also decided against running again in 2018.
