LARCHWOOD, IA, (KELO.com) -- The Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort believes it has a possible explanation for the big drug bust in its parking lot over the weekend.

General Manager Sharon Haselhof tels Kelo.com News that there was a "unique event" that night at the resort, Cheech and Chong were entertaining. The comedy duo came to fame with jokes about the drug culture back in the 1970s, and with drug-oriented movies, such as 'Up In Smoke.'

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office busted 11 people for drugs, saying it was part of an undercover operation due to increasing crime in the parking lot.

Haselhof says there were some 1,100 people in for the show, and otherwise, the casino has not seen any trend in increasing crime on the property.

She says Grand Falls provides a "fun, safe" environment for its customers and that a casino is really the last place at which someone should think about committing a crime.
