PRESHO, S.D. (KELO.com) Firefighters from across South Dakota filled the small town of Presho on Thursday for the funeral of Fire Chief Don Manger.

Over 100 first responder vehicles passed below an American Flag flying over Main Street.

An honor guard from Sioux Falls assisted.

Pastor Travis Krogman said Manger's calming influence was just a small part of his impact.

"Who better to understand the message of going to rescue people, save people, change their lives...Donnie saved people's lives."

Then the chief's Last Call rang out in the silence of the Lyman Gardens Arena.

Manger, a 36 year fire veteran, died in the line of duty at the scene of a fire, as a result of complications from a medical issue.

Governor Daugaard had requested that all flags in South Dakota fly at half-staff on Thursday.
