SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) No sour grapes from Dakota Golf for not being picked to continue managing Sioux Falls three city golf courses after 23 years of service.
President Tom Jansa tells the Greg Belfrage Show that he was disappointed to have lost out to a Nebraska company but realizes there were "bigger fish to fry."
Softening the blow, Landscapes Unlimited plans to keep everybody on board, including Jansa.
"It lessened the sting of not winning the award, yep."
Some people in town groused about the secretive nature of the selection process, but Jansa tells Greg that you just go along with the process and accept the decision.
This is far from a done deal. The City Parks Board and City Council must still ratify the recommendation of the selection committee.
The city has three courses: Kuehn, Elmwood and Prairie Green.
