SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) House Speaker Mark Mickelson (R) of Sioux Falls doesn't see the need for major changes in the policies against sexual harassment in Pierre while the State Legislature is in session.
He says there is zero tolerance.
"I think we've got the rules in place. It's just a question making sure, one, that people are aware of them and, two, people are following them, and three, that we are addressing situations when they come up."
Recently a former state lawmaker claimed on Facebook that she had been sexually harassed by a fellow lawmaker. Perhaps even more disturbing, a lobbyist in Pierre claims she was raped in March by a man who worked at the Capitol.
Mickelson says the stories are disturbing.
"My heart goes out to those who have been affected by this."
