UNDATED (KELO.com) Marty Jackley is asking Kristi Noem to join him in signing a clean campaign pledge, but Noem says she is "not interested in campaign PR stunts."
Attorney General Jackley and U.S. Representative Noem are the main rivals in the Republican Gubenatorial primary.
Jackley has signed a pledge against negative campaigning and is publicly urging Noem to do so.
"The congresswoman and I both love South Dakota, and I believe this campaign for governor should be about our experience and vision to move our state forward instead of mudslinging and name-calling.”
But Noem responds that she doesn't know what "Marty" is worried about.
"I ran a competitive primary in 2010, and we’re all still friends.....This may be a game to him but it's not to me"
A copy of the pledge is attached at the top of this story.
