SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Add the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce's voice to the list of politicians, media, and others with concerns about the Denny Deal and the health of the warped siding on the Premier Center.
In it's online newsletter issued last week, The Chamber Advocate largely supports the Huether administration's positions that settlement was in everyone's best interests and that confidential settlement agreements are not atypical.
However, the Chamber expressed concerns about the condition of the warped sidiing and whether it has impacted the structural integrity of the events center.
"One final issue that lingers is whether the siding, as it exists, is doing its job and protecting the building as it should," the newsletter noted. "While city professionals noted that there are no structural threats to the building, the Council is asking for confirmation from an external source. We would like to see the administration provide the requested confirmation to put the issue of structural integrity to rest. It appears the Council will continue this discussion at a future date."
KELO.com News is still waiting on another set of answers for questions it submitted to Assistant City Attorney Karen Leonard last week.
