No more Denny Deal answers until Tuesday's Council meeting

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- There will be no more answers from the City of Sioux Falls about The Denny Deal settlement agreement on the siding until tomorrow's informational meeting at the City Council.

Assistant City Attorney Karen Leonard informed KELO.com News this morning that the City will not answer additional questions KELO.com News submitted to her last week.

Tomorrow's Denny Deal explanation is set for 4 p.m. at the Carnegie Town Hall.

Here are the additional questions KELO.com News submitted last week: 

1. How much did the City of Sioux Falls pay in retained attorneys fees and related costs for the litigation of and settlement of the Premier Center panels?  

2. Regarding #1, please release to KELO.com News copies of any such billing statements from retained counsel sent to the City of Sioux Falls concerning the Premier Center settlement. If the city believes such documents are not publicly releasable, please cite the legal authority you are basing such a decision upon.   

3. Was the Judd Allen Group or any other firm ever retained to investigate or perform a forensic study of the problematic panels and related issues at the Premier Center?  

4. If so as noted in #3, did they issue a report to the city? If so, please provide KELO.com News with a copy of any such report or reports. If the city believes such documents are not publicly releasable, please cite the legal authority you are basing such a decision upon.   

5. What ever became of the mock ups that were performed by Mortenson/Dalsin/Whomever to fix the siding issue at the Premier Center? What were the results?  

6. If there is a written report or reports concerning #5, please release copies of such documents to KELO.com News. If the city believes such documents are not publicly releasable, please cite the legal authority you are basing such a decision upon.   

7. Why didn't material or workmanship warranties cover the repair of the deformed panels on the Premier Center? If there were or are such warranties, please provide copies to KELO.com News. If the city believes such documents are not publicly releasable, please cite the legal authority you are basing such a decision upon.   

8. Please provide an itemization of "enhancements" and their costs made to the Premier Center that came out of the settlement funds provided under the settlement agreement. If the city believes such documents are not publicly releasable, please cite the legal authority you are basing such a decision upon.
