SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Who said what about the Premier Center's siding settlement back when it was settled two years ago?
The agreement is dated September 15, 2015. This is what the local media reported at the time after the City of Sioux Falls announced there was a settlement over the bent siding.
Huether says city leaders will scrutinize the $1 million and use it wisely. City Finance Director Tracy Turbak says the extra cash may pay for other projects for the building.
"It can be anything from more popcorn poppers or beer dispensers to additional storage space. Better lighting and the parking lot is one of the things we've talked about," Turbak said.
In a press conference Friday morning, Mayor Mike Huether says the value of the settlement is $1 million. That money will not be used to fix the siding, though. . . .
The money from the settlement will instead be used for future construction projects at the PREMIER Center.
