UNDATED (KELO.com) Student enrollment at South Dakota's four tech schools basically stayed flat for the fall.
The total enrollment is about nine students less than it was last fall.
But a big standout is Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls where enrollment jumped 6.4 percent.
Lake Area Tech in Watertown doesnt mind staying flat since, it reports, growth at the nationally recognized school has grown 30 percent over the past five years.
On paper, enrollment went down at Mitchell Tech, but the school explains that that's only because of a one-time restructure of the long-standing statewide Farmj/Ranch Business Management program
A total of 6,650 students are attending South Dakota's tech schools this fall.
Overall enrollment at the state's six public universities also stayed flat this fall, some schools up a little, some schools down a little.
