SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- They are oh so close to The Big Time.
Two former Sioux Falls residents are in the NFL for opening day tonight--but they won't be on the field, at least not yet.
Washington High School and University of Nebraska standout Nate Gerry, a linebacker, is on the practice squad for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Another Sioux Falls star, Cedrick Lang from O'Gorman High School and the University of Texas-El Paso, is listed as an offensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings on their practice squad.
You can hear Lang's Vikings play the New Orleans Saints--now with former Vikes star Adrian Peterson--Sunday evening on sister station KWSN.
