SIOUX ALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) - Beginning Tuesday morning, the next phase of pavement patching work will begin along Benson Road from Cliff Avenue to I-229.

Phase 2 work will be along the center three lanes between Lewis Avenue and Potsdam Avenue.  Traffic will be maintained in the outside lanes.

This phase of the project is anticipated to be complete in approximately one week. All work is to be completed by September 29, 2017.

Also, beginning on Tuesday, construction crews will begin work on drainage improvements at the intersections of South Westport Avenue and West 47th Street and South Westport Avenue and South Golden Creek Place.

During construction, on-street parking will be restricted on South Westport Avenue between West 49th Street and West 43rd Street in order to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction.  Additionally, South Golden Creek Place will be reduced to one lane intermittently. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times.

Construction is anticipated to be complete in November 2017.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
