WATERTOWN, SD (KELO-AM) - Two people died early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash south of Watertown. A 2002 Toyota Corolla was northbound on U.S. Highway 81 when it crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2003 Chrysler Concorde. The Concorde went into the west ditch and started on fire. The 16-year-old female driver of the Corolla and the 64-year-old male driver of the Concorde were both pronounced dead at scene. The names of the two people are not being released pending notification of their families.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
