UNDATED (KELO AM) - There are a couple chances for severe weather coming up, according to the National Weather Service.

The first will be tonight as scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area

by late evening, and continue through the overnight.  The Sioux Falls area is in a marginal threat for severe weather tonight.

Isolated strong to severe storms are possible, with hail to golf ball size as the primary threat.

The second chance comes Monday, as additional strong to severe storms will be possible during the late afternoon and evening on Monday, with large hail again the primary threat.  Sioux Falls is again in a marginal threat for severe weather, with parts of northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska having a better chance of severe weather.

With the threat of rain on Monday, clouds could hinder our chances for getting a good look at the solar eclipse.

Cool temperatures will prevail through the work week, with highs in the mid 70’s.  There is a chance for rain returning again at the end of the week.
