Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - The crave-able grease bites known as Nick's Hamburgers are coming to Sioux Falls for a one-day-only appearance at Dawley Farms.
Jodi Schwan with SiouxFalls.Business broke the story this week, and she told KELO Radio's It's Your Business that it has been one of her most clicked stories of the week. "All those SDSU grads who love Nick's Hamburger Shop can kind of relive their college days," she said. First Bank and Trust will be hosting Nick's food truck on Wednesday from 11am to 1pm.
"They expect to sell out of burgers, [and] based on the response to the story since we put it out there I think their expectation is probably an accurate one," Schwan told Bill Zortman on Friday.
According to their web site, Nick's began serving burgers in Brookings back in 1929. The secret recipe quickly became a favorite of the college town. The restaurant added a trailer in 2008 as a means of staying open while renovations to the building were being completed.
Since the remodeling that trailer now serves as a catering unit that's often seen at SDSU football games and other events for catering.
