SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- It was an innocent question: What's your favorite fair food?
U.S. Rep. Kristi Noem--candidate for South Dakota governor--asked on her official Twitter account what readers' favorite fair cuisine is while she was at the Sioux Empire Fair.
Hers? Corn dogs and cotton candy.
Not everyone was convivial in their responses:
@Rkmagness had one of the nicer snarky responses: "Good for you! Now, what is your stance on Congress having the opportunity to weigh in before a first strike scenario?"
It got worse from there.
"Are you running for Governor or chairwoman of a PTA committee?" asked @copperdogsd1. "It's really time to get serious."
Then this gem from @Zer0_Dawn:
I stay away from that s*** because I need to be able to afford health care. No thanks to you."
For the record, Noem did get some actual responses to her question. The non-snarky consensus was also for corn dogs.
