PIERRE, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sixty-one year old Jon Henri Bryant has pled guilty to federal kidnapping charges on Tuesday, for an incident that took place last October.
That's when Bryant forcefully took a vehicle from his victim, forced the victim into the vehicle's trunk, then took off across state lines. The victim suffered serious injuries in the incident, which Bryant carried out as an act of revenge.
A maximum sentence for Bryant would amount to life in prison and $250 thousand in fines. Restitution may also be ordered in the case. If a life sentence isn't handed down, Bryant would also have five years of supervision upon his release.
Bryant was turned over to the custody of US Marshals. He'll be sentenced on October 23rd.
