PIERRE, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- The South Dakota Highway Patrol is focusing on seat belt use this summer.
Most recent vehicle fatalities have been due to people not being belted in.
Highway Patrol Superintendent Colonel Craig Price says it is pretty simple. He says you can only control so much behind the wheel.
Price says state troopers are watching for drivers and passengers that are not belted in and stepping up enforcement of distracted driving laws.
