SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- Lincoln County voters decide whether to accept a more restrictive wind energy ordinance or go back to a less restrictive version.
Confusingly, a "yes" vote opposes a current wind project while a "no" vote is in favor.
Brian Minish, co-chair of Farmers and Friends for Wind, talked to The Greg Belfrage Show about the measure today.
He said the wind project he's behind could bring in $1 million a year in new property taxes for Lincoln County, with about half that going to the county's school districts.
Monday, Winnie Petersen with We-Care South Dakota, will speak in favor of keeping the more restrictive new ordinance on The Greg Belfrage Show.
The election is Tuesday.
