called to a residence in northeast Sioux Falls.
Officers from Sioux Falls Police, the South Dakota Highway Patrol and Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office were called just before 9 p.m. Saturday evening for an intoxicated person threatening his children with a firearm.
The area was shut down because authorities believed the person was inside the residence with several children. The subject had left the scene, but was later located and arrested without incident.
One child had minor injuries.
Chad Allen Johnson was arrested and lodged at Minnehaha County Jail for Aggravated Assault Domestic, Simple Assault Domestic and Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated.
