SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO AM) We hear about guns being stolen from unlocked cars all the time in Sioux Falls. Now, six guns have been stolen from an unlocked home in Sioux Falls.
Officer Sam Clemens says five long guns and one handgun have been snatched from a home on South Copper Ridge Road on the south side of Sioux Falls. He says the owners were trying to find serial numbers to give to the police.
Maybe you could keep the doors unlocked in your grandfather's time, but not these days. Police advise you keep your doors locked on both your cars and your homes.
Stolen guns, obviously, can be used in crimes, but drug addicts can also sell them for quick cash to get the drugs they crave.
