SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) Sales tax revenue in Sioux Falls continued to slow last month.
City Finance director Tracy Turback gives a monthly briefing to City Council.
"A month ago, we reported our 12-month growth rate at 1.9 percent. As of the end of May, it sits at 1.6 percent." Turback says a year ago the growth rate was 4.2 percent.
Turback says revenue continues to grow but the rate of growth continues to drop, so remains a point of concern.
Turback jokes that he must sound like a broken record in these monthly updates on slowing revenue.
The next city budget is expected to be as tight as a tick..
