South Dakota lawmakers will be back in Pierre today (Monday) for a special session to debate a compromise on opening some lakes to more public access. That follows a Supreme Court ruling that forced the closings.
Representative Susan Wismer, a Democrat from Britton. says she will be a yes vote.
Wismer says the bill only allows one way appeals.
Landowners have been pushing for reductions in property taxes on the flooded acres. Wismer says that will have to wait.
The session is set to start at 10 a.m. Governor Dennis Daugaard will address the session at about 10:30.
