VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- Continued erosion from the Missouri River is forcing the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System to repair and extend bank protection for their well field near Vermillion.
Executive Director Troy Larson says they have to shore up the armored bank along the river.
He says they already repaired the bank after the floods of 2011.Larson says their board approved spending over one point five million dollars for the project, which extends along about one mile of river bank near the Vermillion-Newcastle bridge.
