Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check of 27 off-sale alcohol establishments in the Northeast area of Sioux Falls Wednesday. Twenty five of the 27 businesses checked passed. The two businesses that failed the compliance check were:
- Pump ‘N Pak 3700 N. Potsdam Avenue, Sioux Falls
- Cubby’s North 3420 N. Cliff Avenue, Sioux Falls.
The clerks that sold alcohol to a person under 21 were issued a summons with a mandatory court appearance. Businesses that fail compliance checks are subject to fines and/or suspension of their alcohol license.
In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
