UNDATED (KELO AM) South Dakota U.S. Senator Mike Rounds (R), like the rest of us, is shaking his head over the public relations pickle United Airlines is in for dragging that passenger off the plane. Smart phone videos taken by other passengers have gone viral.
"They probably could have actually chartered a private flight to get their four people to where they had to be and it would have cost them, in the long run, a lot less money than what this terrible embarrassment is going to cost them."
Senator Rounds was on KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show, talking about a number of issues, and of course, United had to come up.
"You would think by now that all of the airlines would have established well known policies that were reasonable in nature." Rounds says this will have an impact on the entire industry, as people start questioning more closely the airlines overbooking policies.
