PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) - Sioux Falls nurse Lora Hubbel is running for governor of South Dakota, again, next year.

Hubbel ran for the Republican nomination in 2014 challenging incumbent Governor Dennis Daugaard in the primary.

Hubbel says she'll be running on a platform of corruption killing.

She says part of the corruption she's been seeing is in South Dakota's nonprofits that are "not overseen by the government.  They are all self-governing.  They're kind of like the honor system.  Of course it's gonna be a problem and that's where a lot of our problem is with corruption is in these non-profits."

Hubbel says "if South Dakota wants a change, I'm your best bet."

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley, Congresswoman Kristi Noem and Minnehaha County Republican Terry LaFleur have announced their candidacy for governor in 2018.

There have not been any announced Democrats for governor in South Dakota yet.
