SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Miami man was arrested Sunday morning in Sioux Falls for allegedly possessing 18 phoney or stolen credit cards.
Captain Loren McManus says an alert clerk tipped police who arrived on scene and found one of two suspects still in the area.
22-year-old Rioger Mulen-Perez is charged with 18 counts of identity theft and 18 counts of possession of a forged instrument and two counts of use of fraudulent credit cards.
McManus says there is another suspect that was working with Mulen-Perez but police have not found him.
He says it's unusual for one suspect to have that many fake or stolen cards. He can't say Mulen-Perez is a main player in credit card fraud but McManus says he's "certainly a big player with that kind of quantity."
