SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a 56-year-old man died in a two-vehicle collision yesterday afternoon east of Flandreau.
The Patrol says the other car was driven by a 66-year-old female. They were both eastbound on Highway 34 when the man slowed and turned north onto 485th Avenue.
The Patrol says the woman hit the victim's car in the driver's side sending it into the ditch. The man was dead at the scene and the woman suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.
Names have not been released until family has been notified.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other first responders included the Moody County Sheriff's Office, Flandreau Police Department and Flandreau Fire Department.
