SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police arrested a suspect in a near-fatal stabbing almost a month ago in an apartment on North Prairie Avenue.
Lieutenant Jon Lohr says 24-year-old Issac Rochae is accused of assaulting the victim with a broken liquor bottle and it took police three weeks to make the arrest. He says there was at least one witness that could identify Rochae.
Lohr says the neighbors reported hearing some kind of dispute or disturbance between the suspect and the victim and that's what lead police to the apartment.
He says the victim suffered many serious wounds to the torso and there was a severe cut to the victim's arm.
Lohr says Rochae is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and the victim has recovered from his wounds.
