Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - A major player in the Sioux Falls employment scene is laying off over one hundred people.
Good Samaritan Society, a faith-based nonprofit that oversees nursing home and assisted living centers nationwide. According to SiouxFalls.Business, the Sioux Falls campus of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society had as many as 607 employees at its newly renovated campus in Sioux Falls. Nationwide GSS has as many as 21,000 employees.
The cuts reportedly stem from continual financial pressure at the company. It's unclear what types of jobs were eliminated.
