The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a WinterWeather Advisory for snow and blowing snow, which is in effect from 7 am Sunday to 4 am CDT Monday.
snow will develop on Sunday morning and continue through Sunday night.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches will be possible. 6 to 9 inches of snow is possible across parts of southwest Minnesota so if the storm tracks just 20 to 30 miles farther south amounts could quickly increase.
* Wind and visibility... southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph will turn to the north with gusts of 30 to 35 mph possible Sunday night.
* Wind chill values... wind chill values will fall to around zero late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
