SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) - A man was hospitalized after a Sunday night assault....not a typical case of a fist or knife fight....but a case of being dragged by an SUV.
It started around 7 PM, when a traffic director at the Premier Center came up to Todd Schoenfelder's vehicle to talk about proper methods of dropping off people for the event.
The police report says Schoenfelder drove off after the parking official grabbed his door handle and dragged the guy 50 feet...but wait...there's more to the story. After that, another parking monitor stopped the allegedly rogue driver, allowing the first parking official to catch up.
He again engaged the driver, reaching in to the SUV. Schoenfelder apparently had enough, allegedly rolling up the window and drove off again, this time dragging the victim approximately 100 yards.
Officer Sam Clemens says Todd Schoenfelder of Sioux Falls was arrested later on two assault charges. No word on the victim's condition.
