SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a Sioux Falls man recognized a parked car on South Mayfair Drive Tuesday night that a female friend had loaned out but never got back.

Officer Sam Clemens says when 31-year-old Nate Selwyn got into the parked car, the witness used his vehicle to block him in.

Clemens says Selwyn got of the car, walked over to running car nearby and was handed a sawed-off shotgun by the occupant in the third car.  Selwyn is accused of pointing the gun at the victims who drove off and called police.

Selwyn was later arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a controlled weapon and possession of stolen property.

Also arrested with Selwyn was 23-yearold Eric James Warren of Sioux Falls for possession of stolen property and a controlled weapon and possession of a controlled substance.  Police found a syringe on Warren that tested positive for meth.

Clemens says there was a cell phone and a computer pad in the car that was not returned.  He says that's why there is the possession of stolen property charges.  The car was loaned, not returned, but not technically stolen.
