SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) Busy Louise Avenue will be Sioux Falls flagship street construction project in 2017.
South Louise will be reconstructed from West 41st Street to West 49th Street. The five-lane street will be widened to six lanes. Medians with left turn lanes will be constructed at select intersections. New LED streetlights will be installed. There will also be significant work done under Louise, including upgraded storm drainage for greater capacity.
“In 2017, Sioux Falls residents and visitors will see orange barrels on several major streets in the city, and we will work hard to expedite the projects as much as we can to keep Sioux Falls moving,” says Chad Huwe, City Engineer.

The intersection of West 69th Street with South Western Avenue.
The intersection of West 26th Street and S. Minnesota Avenue,
East Arrowhead Parkway will be face-lifted from Sycamore to Highline.
The Main Avenue Road Diet downtown will enjoy continued improvement with more bumpouts and landscaping.
