SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.COM) Country Music Star Martina McBride will headline the 4th annual Prime Time Gala at the Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls to raise money for Feeding South Dakota.
Since hosting the first Gala in 2014, the South Dakota Cattemen's Foundation has raised over $501,000 to help purchase over 361,804 pounds of beef for the hungry. Matt Glasson of Feeding South Dakota put the numbers in perspective.
"If you think about what it would look like if it was cow on the hoof, we're talking over 658 head of cattle is what this donation would look like," Glasson said at Tuesday's announcement at the Premier Center. The Cattlemen's Foundation has pledged a donation goal of raising $150,000 through this year's event.
Joining McBride to make beautiful music for a good cause at the June 17 concert, will be Scotty McCreery, American Idol winner who since has gone on to even bigger success, and up-and-coming country singer, Carly Pearce.
Tickets for the big concert will go on sale to the public this Friday, February 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the box office and at all Ticketmaster locations.
