Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - The National Weather Service has posted a WINTER STORM WATCH which will be in effect for the area from 6 Tuesday morning through Wednesday. Forecaster Brad Temeyer at the National Weather Service Sioux Falls office, says that with temperatures in the upper 20's to low 30's, their thought is that the snow will be "heavy and wet".
Temeyer adds the heaviest snowfall is expected Tuesday afternoon and evening, and amounts will vary across the region depending on the storm's track. He says four to eight inch amounts are not out of the question. Expect strong winds to move in on Wednesday.
