SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - More Broadway at the Washington Pavilion as all six of the series theater productions will expand from two to three performances.
Director of the Husby Performing Arts Center Gina Ruhberg says there's been an over 100% percent increase in the Pavilion Performance Series in the last five years.
Ruhberg says Broadway agents and producers want to bring their shows to the Pavilion in Sioux Falls because of the demand. She says they know the shows will sell out.
Vice President of Braodway Booking in New York City, David Freeland, agrees it's time for the Washington Pavilion to make the change and increase its number of performances. Freeland says, "Over the past several seasons the Husby Performing Arts Center at the Pavilion has risen to a preeminent state in the industry for a market its size."
Ruhberg says current and new series subscribers will enjoy seating upgrade opportunities.
Subscription renewals and new sales for the 2017-18 Series season are underway.
