SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police arrested a 30-year-old Sioux Falls man at his home last after he allegedly tried holding up the Taco Johns on South Minnesota Avenue.
Sergeant Paul Crevistion says Ronqwell Lee Fondren is accused handing an employee a note that threatened physical harm if they did not comply.
Crevistan says the note read "get me the money or I'm killing you."
Creviston says the employee told co-workers they were being robbed and the suspect fled and got into a vehicle. The workers got the licence plate number.
Police were waiting for Fondren when he pulled into the parking lot of his home on West Valhalla Boulevard.
Creviston says investigators are determining if Fondren was involved in an earlier robbery on West 49th Street. The note in that crime was similar but laced with more obscenities.
Fondren is charged with second degree robbery and simple assault.
No one was injured in the incident.
