SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A crime that's all too common in Sioux Falls is the drug rip and the latest case involves a 21-year-old man who arranged a drug deal and lost his cash.
Officer Sam Clemens says the victim told police a man came to his door last night, held a knife to his throat and took his money.
Clemens says the victim first told authorities the suspect was a stranger and he was robbed at knifepoint. After further questioning, the vicitm came clean and told police he had arranged a drug deal with the suspect.
He says detectives don't know if the victim was buying or selling drugs but they did not find any in the man's home
Clemens says investigators have an idea who the suspect is but no arrests yet.
