Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The last Kmart location in Sioux Falls is slated to close in the next few weeks.
Sears Holdings announced a list of 108 Kmart and 46 Sears locations that will be shut down, representing around 10 percent of the company's remaining locations nationwide.
The closure leaves just two Kmart locations in South Dakota - Aberdeen and Rapid City. Other Kmart stories that have been shuttered in the last few months include Yankton, Mitchell, Huron, Pierre, and two Sioux Falls locations.
Liquidation sales at the locations will begin in the coming days, the stores will close for good by mid-spring.
Other stores slated for closure include Mankato and Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Fargo, North Dakota, and Sioux City, Waterloo, and Dubuque, Iowa. Larger markets impacted include Baltimore, Tulsa, and Las Vegas.
