Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The National Weather Service says we can see periods of moderate rainfall and thunderstorms through early evening.  The recent snowfall could be clocking storm drain entrances, causing localized flooding and ponding to occur throughout the area.  Use caution when driving this afternoon and evening.

Strong winds will develop as well, with wind gusts to over 45 through tonight and into Monday.  No severe storms are expected.

To the west and north, several no travel advisories have been issued, because of ice, snow and high winds.  Blizzard warnings are in effect for western South Dakota, and Ice Storm Warnings have been issued for north central and northeast South Dakota.

Check road conditions before heading out if you must travel in these areas.
