Water main break shuts down part of Cliff Avenue

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - A water main break near Avera has made life difficult along Cliff Avenue.  The street was shut down between 17^th and 20^th Street while repairs are made to the main Saturday afternoon.

Traffic has been detoured to 7^th Avenue because of the break.

Once repairs are made, Public Works hopes to have one lane of traffic in each direction until more permanent repairs are made to the driving surface.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
