Accordion crash on Western

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a 23-year-old Sioux Falls man suffered non-life threatening injuries when the car he was driving plowed into a truck parked near 8th and Western early this morning causing a chain reaction of damaged vehicles.

Officer Sam Clemens says the man is hospitalized and has not been charged, yet.

Clemens says the man may have been drinking but police will have to wait until he's discharged from the hospital before any charges can be brough.

Clemens says damage to all four vehicles is estimated at $11,000.

Clemens says the injured man was driving a Hyundai north on Western when hit a Ford 150, which was pushed into a Chrysler minivan which hit a Ford Escape.  The collision happened around 12:30 Thursday morning.
