SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A winter weather advisory is issued for the tri-state area around Sioux Falls from nine tomorrow morning until noon Sunday.
Forecaster Todd Heitkamp says snow will start falling tonight with the heaviest snow beginning Saturday morning around eight.
Heitkamp says the National Weather Service forecasts snowfall amounts in the Sioux Falls area to be in the four to six inch range. He says this snowfall will be light and fluffy, as opposed to the heavy, wet snow in the last storm.
The National Weather Service predicts five to eight inches of snow more likely along and east of the Buffalo Ridge.
Heitkamp says winds will be between ten and twenty so drifting will be minimal.
