SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A new exhibit at the Kirby Science Center at the Washington Pavilion focuses on helping families make healthy life decisions.

Neal Nightingale with Sanford Health says "fit Zone" will compete against fast food and video games.

Nightingale says planners asked themselves how do you make health and science engaging with children? He believes that goal has been achieved with the "fit Zone"  and it's ability to captivate, educate and activate them to make healthy choices.

The exhibit highlights steps to healthy living with hands-on and interactive exhibits.

The Pavilion and Sanford Health joined forces to open the "fit Zone" and help families make good health decisions and become more active.

The motivational steps include MOOD, FOOD, RECHARGE and MOVE with those accessible exhibits for people of all ages.

That includes the Snack Slap game, virtual reality bikes and climbing wall.  "fit Zone" is on the fourth floor of the Kirby Science Center.
