SIOUX FALLS,SD (KELO-AM) - A west side Sioux Falls motorcycle crash has left one dead. Police, Emergency Medical Services and Fire Rescue were called to the scene at 41st Street and Valley View Road just before 7:00 Sunday evening.
A car had veered into a nearby daycare building, a motorcycle destroyed. Sergeant Candi Gearman of SFPD says the initial investigation showed the cycle was eastbound at a "high rate of speed" when it crashed with a car heading north through the intersection. Police closed a stretch of 41st Street during the response and investigation.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, and later, pronounced dead. EMS treated the car's driver and passenger on-scene for minor injuries.
No names have yet been released, and the investigation continues.
