Tuesday rain brings street flooding

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Steady rain on Tuesday caused some street flooding in Sioux Falls.

The Police Department says the following intersections have been blocked off due to high water: 

A few intersections in Sioux Falls have been flooded with the recent heavy rains:

-E. 6^th Street and N. Cliff Avenue;

-E. 6^th Street and N. Van Eps Avenue

-E. 52^nd Street N. and N. Lewis Avenue

These intersections are currently being monitored and barricades have been posted in these areas.  Motorists are encouraged to avoid these intersections and take alternative routes until the water subsides.
