Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) – Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and Air National Guard Fire Department responded to a fire in a 40 unit storage building in the 1600 block of West 2nd Street about 11:20 Saturday night. When crews arrived, about three-quarters of the building was burning. Fire crews worked to save the remaining part of the building and inside property.
During an initial investigation, police arrested 52 year old William L. Vance, a tenant of the building. Vance was charged with Reckless Burning, Failure to report a Dangerous Fire, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
There were no injuries reported.
