SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Two Brookings men sold informants over 200 grams of methamphetamine last year and last week they were sentenced to ten years in prison.

33-year-old Javier Santos Garcia-Hernandez and 26-year-old Juan Francisco Herrera-Rodriguez started selling meth in Brookings County in April of last year.  The recruited others to help push the drug.

The undercover agents repeatedly bought meth from the suspects and they were arrested last September.

Gatrcia-Hernandez and Herrera-Rodriguez were indicted for conspiracy to distribute meth by a federal grand jury in May and they were found guilty in June after a four-day trial.

The were sentenced Friday by District Court Judge Karen Schreier in Sioux Falls.

The men were turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
